The Lifeline Players is a touring drama team from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. The group offers programs to churches, Christian Schools and Christian camps.
In The Lifeline Players’ family-friendly program of six dramatic sketches based on the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5 (the Beatitudes), the group demonstrates that God lays out different characteristics or “signs” of someone who submits to God along life’s road.
The series of short sketches will include the following titles and others:
Maybe Someday by Sharon Sherbondy in which a man who feels his life is empty encounters another man who invites him to church. But he decides “Maybe Someday”.
Keeping Tabs by Sharon Sherbondy in which a woman is so compulsive in her need to not be obligated to anyone that she keeps tabs on everything she and her husband receive.
One Dent Shy of the Whole Truth by Dave McClellan in which a man with a fender bender must decide how much of the truth to tell a savvy insurance adjuster.
The program will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by refreshments. The public is welcome.
Donations to help cover the costs for the drama team will be accepted.
